Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 2026
Stanza is a home for poets of every background, style, and experience level. These guidelines help us maintain a welcoming space where creativity thrives.
Be Respectful
Treat every member of the community with dignity and respect. Poetry is deeply personal, and we celebrate the courage it takes to share your work. Engage with empathy, acknowledge differing perspectives, and remember that there is a person behind every poem.
Original Work & Attribution
Only post work that is your own or that you have explicit permission to share. When referencing, quoting, or drawing inspiration from another poet's work, always provide proper attribution. Plagiarism undermines the trust and integrity of our community and will not be tolerated.
Constructive Criticism
Feedback is a gift. When offering critiques, focus on the craft: imagery, structure, rhythm, and language. Be specific, kind, and constructive. Avoid personal attacks or dismissive comments. If someone has not asked for feedback, consider whether your critique is welcome before sharing it.
No Harassment
Harassment, bullying, hate speech, and discrimination of any kind are strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to threats, slurs, doxxing, unwanted sexual content, and targeted campaigns against individuals. We have zero tolerance for behavior that makes anyone feel unsafe.
Reporting
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately using the report feature on any post or profile. You can also reach our moderation team directly at moderation@stanza.ink. All reports are reviewed confidentially.
Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, a formal warning, temporary suspension, or permanent account ban, depending on severity. Repeated or egregious violations will be escalated. Our goal is not to punish but to protect the community and ensure Stanza remains a space where poets can create freely.
